On the 25th and 26th of November 2023, WMSKLI’s U16 Boys Volleyball Team took part in the MSSWPKL Off-season Volleyball Tournament held at TARUMT. Placed in a challenging group alongside SMK Desa Tun Hussein Onn, SMJK Chung Hwa, and former champions SMK Jinjang, the team showcased exceptional skills and determination throughout the tournament.  

In the group stage games held on the 25th the team delivered outstanding performances, securing victories against SMK Desa Tun Hussein Onn and SMJK Chung Hwa. The highlight of the day was a remarkable 15-point win against former champions and powerhouse school SMK Jinjang. This impressive performance allowed the team to top the group and advance to the next round. 

On the 26th in the Round of 16, the boys team faced SMK Seri Bintang Selatan and secured another victory. Advancing to the quarterfinals they triumphed over SMK Wangsa Maju 2, earning a spot in the semi-finals and in a closely contested match against SMK Taman Bukit Maluri the team displayed exceptional determination, staging a comeback from a 9-point deficit to secure a slim 31-29 win. 

Despite their remarkable journey and the 6-game win streak, the boys team faced their first defeat in the finals against SMK Dato Ibrahim Yaacob. The finals proved to be a challenging encounter and although they suffered a loss, the team’s overall performance throughout the tournament was commendable.
